Participants at parkrun in Standerton celebrate Women’s Day

Many a smile was shared at the parkrun on Saturday, August 6 when some participants honoured their female counterparts.

A total of 81 participants waited on 08:00 to take on the 5km, with eight athletes improving their times and seven first-timers joining.

Sifiso Siphamandla completed the distance in a time of 18:01, followed by Tshiamo Lephoto in 18:30.

Siyabonga Kamhelo’s time was 18:30 as well and Chuhla Phago’s 19:46, a new personal best.
