Juniors from Secunda compete in the Action Sports Super League
Secunda Action Sport played host to the Junior Super League on August 6.
Teams from Secunda Action Sports competed in the first round of the netball Junior Super League which took place at Fourways Action Sport on Saturday, July 30.
The U/11 beat Midstream 23–2 at the blow of the whistle.
The U/12 also played a phenomenal game beating Zambezi 30–10.
It was not so fortunate for the U/13 who were beaten by Fourways 41–8.
Secunda Action Sport then went on to play host to the Junior Super League on August 6.
It was a close match between Hillfox and Secunda’s U/11 team with Hillfox taking the win 18–17.
However, the U/11 came back victorious beating Edenvale 20–9.
The U/12 beat Santon 34–13 but lost against Hillfox 25–15.
The U/13 were beaten by Edenvale 41–5.
The U/14’s Hillfox team claimed their victory against Secunda beating them 41–14.
The next round will be played at the Edenvale Arena on August 13.
The senior’s netball finals were also brought to a close ending the winter league.
In the first mixed league team, All Stars ended the season in the first place. They were followed by second place SWAT.
In the second league mixed team, the winners were Hooligans who claimed first place and Happy Feet claiming the second spot.
In the third league mixed teams Razzmatazz finished first, with Game of Throws in second and Joint Forces in third.
The women’s first league was won by Glitter Girls.
They were followed by Black Widow in second place and team Blessing in third.
In the women’s second league team, Jaguars finished in the first spot with Karnuffel Buffels coming in second.
The Spring league is now underway and plenty of action can be seen at Action Sport in sports netball, hockey and cricket.
