More than 70 participants at parkrun in Standerton

Three athletes improved their times and two participants joined for the first time.

A total of 71 participants were ready to go at the parkrun on Saturday, August 27 at 08:00.

Tshiamo Lephoto completed the 5km in a time of 16:26, a new personal best, followed by Mlungisi Ntumba in 21:30.

Thapelo Mahlangu reached the finish line in 22:14, while Johan Ferreira’s time was 27:11 and those of Beandri Claassens 27;23.

Frans Vermaak, Ishara Pillay, Jennifer Naidoo, Kay Pillay, Krishnalal Ramdharee, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Marjorie Uys, Nienke Swart, Preyanka Dorasamy, Priscilla Ramdharee, Ruwan Vermaak, Theo Schönfeldt, Vihanda Steyl and Wikus Fourie volunteered to take their positions, ensuring a safe event.

Uys reached a milestone when volunteering for the 100th time.
