Time flies

I attended the beautiful wedding of a friend  recently and could not help to think back to my wedding nearly 30 years ago.

Life ahead was full of promises and hope, of many romantic adventures, of lots of money and a nice house, and of cute little babies.

I felt I could conquer the world and overcome any obstacles with the love of my life beside and behind me.

It was a very special time of new beginnings.

Old age and grey hair were far in the future.

I could not in my wildest dreams imagine a face with wrinkles.

My body was still young and firm (sigh).

Oh, where are those glorious days of dreams and stars in the eyes and of undying love!
