It is so easy to moan and criticise, yet so difficult to praise.

The same is true about the town you live in, and in my case Standerton.

Everywhere you go, at each braai you attend, there will always be that one person who has nothing good to say about the town.

‘Oh there is nothing to do’ and ‘That’s why all the young people are leaving’.

Is that not the most irritating thing?

What about our brilliant bird-life?

What about the historical sites?

Do they even know about this, or are they just ignorant and want to criticise instead.

Standerton boasts with many sport clubs.

Why don’t we first try what there is on offer before we moan.
