Astonishing how we then sometimes think the world revolves around us.

Roughly 7-billion people populate the earth.
Astonishing how we then sometimes think the world revolves around us.
Standing in the queue at a local grocery shop you feel the importance of getting in and out as quick as possible.
While waiting, you observe other shoppers.
“That guy is fat.
“What is she wearing?
“The guy behind me reeks of sweat.
“She is so rude.”
All these people form part of society, but have you ever, instead of judging them, taken some time to think – what crises are they facing in their own lives. We tend to forget about the saying: ‘Do not judge a book by its cover’ and even tear out pages from others’ books. That fat guy might have diabetes. She might be wearing the only piece of clothing she owns.
He reeks of sweat because he does not own a vehicle and had to walk six blocks to get to the store. She is rude because you, in your rush to get in and out of the store, just cut the line. It made me realise that the world does not revolve around me and maybe next time I’m in the grocery store, I’ll think about why people appear and act the way they do.
You should too.
