Maragon hosts cricket festival

340 players enjoyed a day of fun and friendly cricket.

Maragon Private Schools hosted the KFC Mini-Cricket Festival on Saturday 23 August.

It was a delightful day with 14 schools participating. A sports day such as this is an excellent way to bring people together in a relaxed environment that will build lasting relationships across the community.

340 players enjoyed a day of fun and friendly cricket, where the rigours of academic achievement were forgotten, and where red faces and perspiration were the order of the day.

The crowd was joined by Buhle Vaphi and Gift Mathe from the Gauteng Cricket Board. They were extremely impressed with the programme of the day and the wonderful way the schools interacted on a social level,

developing skills and making friends.

Maragon Private Schools would like to thank all the coaches and the principals from the different schools that joined them on the day.

“Thank you to our acting principal, Harry Bateman for opening the festival and for making every coach, parent and player feel welcome at our wonderful school,” says Belinda Espag, marketing manager of

Maragon Private Schools.

Maragon Private Schools also would like to extend a special thank you to their sponsors, KFC and Honda Imperial for their generous contribution to making the day a huge success.
