Finger licking good cricket

Maragon hosts tournament.

Maragon Private School recently hosted the KFC Mini Cricket Festival with 11 schools participating.

296 enthusiastic U/6, U/7 and U/8 learners played their hearts out in a total of 34 matches. In a match, each player gets the opportunity to bat and bowl six balls.

The aim of KFC Mini Cricket is not winning, but to promote participation and a love for the sport.

Important skills and techniques are taught, which will help participants to excel should they choose to pursue a career in cricket. Before the tournament, all coaches had to attend a Mini Cricket course to make sure that the young cricketers are taught right.

KFC has agreed to be the official sponsor of Mini Cricket for the next 10 Years.
