Keep your ward DA – get a bigger …
DUNKELD- IT SEEMS witch doctors have joined forces with the Democratic Alliance ahead of the Ward 90 by-election.
The DA has created two posters to for the party’s candidate Anthony Still ahead of the ward’s by-election on 13 August.
One of the posters has Still’s face superimposed on the DA emblem introducing him to the community, the other poster is a call to action for Ward 90 residents to “Keep your ward DA”.
On Jan Smuts Avenue one of the posters to ‘keep’ the ward DA has been decorated with advertisements for penis enlargement.
The advertisement is causing a bit of a pickle… is it not false advertising from the “doctor” to promise a bigger penis to DA supporters?
After phoning the number on the poster, the man on the other end however denied supporting the DA, and said the number is for people “serious about their penis size”.
He was unconcerned that the advertisement was stuck on a political poster, or illegal, but said his business will “look into it”. So, for those who might be fooled by flashy posters, there will be no bigger penis if you vote DA in the Ward 90 by-election.
Ian Ollis, leader of the Sandton-Alexandra constituency said defaced posters are replaced by the party.
“We also report to the police and IEC if we catch the perpetrator in action, or get a photo of the perpetrator,” Ollis said.
The IEC is very clear on the fact that political posters are not to be defaced, vandalised or removed.
Those caught vandalising posters face fines and arrest.
