Experience language diversity and European culture all in one day
The Goethe-Institut will hold a European Day of Languages on 20 September in Parkwood.
The event has been celebrated worldwide since 2001 as an initiative of the Council of Europe in order to promote linguistic diversity.
Learning a foreign language not only enables a person to communicate with foreigners in their mother tongue, but it also helps a person to get to know their cultures.
Entrance is free and there will be live performances and a wide range of European short movies will be screened.
The event will take place at the Goethe-Institut offices on 119 Jan Smuts Avenue, between 2pm-6pm.
