Parktown High School for Girls march to end to ‘tampon tax’

MARSHALLTOWN – Girls call for an end to 'tampon tax'.

Parktown High School for Girls were recently involved in a march protesting against ‘tampon tax’.

The cause extends to protesting against VAT on all sanitary items as girls believe that these are essential items and not luxuries and thus should be VAT exempt.

The march was organised by matrics Chloe Maluleke and Alexandra Fletcher who arranged to march to Sars accompanied by Metro police to hand over a memorandum of their requests.
