Yeoville pollilce catch three crooks
YEOVILLE - In two separate incidents, Yeoville police arrested three men in connection with two separate criminal activities: one for perjury and two for theft out of a motor vehicle.

At the corner of Raleigh and Fortesque Streets, two suspects broke into a parked vehicle and stole a tablet. According to Yeoville police spokesperson Constable Thabo Malatji, the community members noticed the incident, and that they helped the police to arrest one suspect.
Malatji added that another suspect was also arrested a few blocks away. He said, “We would like to appreciate the good work that is being done by the members of the community in helping the police to prevent crime.”
In a separate incident, a man was arrested for perjury. The suspect reported a case of housebreaking and theft at the Yeoville police station. According to Malatji, the man alleged that his house had been broken into and his valuables were stolen. However, when the police inspected his premises they found no sign of forced entry and that he had removed his property himself.
“After questioning he confessed to have lied about the housebreaking and he was arrested for perjury,” said Malatji. The suspects were expected to appear at the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon.
