ADT officer slips through fingers
KEW - An ADT officer that was arrested for being involved in house robbery in Kew has been let out of jail.
In the article, Law and disorder, published week ending 26 July, Bramley police arrested the security officer and another man after they had attempted to rob a resident and his American guests just off Corlett Drive.
At the time of the incident police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said, “The three guests were robbed of their wedding rings, dollars and watches.” By the time the police arrived the suspect had jumped over the wall and climbed into an ADT security car which was allegedly waiting for him. Police gave chase and arrested the two men in Bramley View in Cunning Road.”
The security guard (27) was charged with armed robbery, while the other suspect (26) was charged with armed robbery and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Clive Humphrey, managing director of ADT central region said, “We are pleased to report that all charges against an ADT Reaction Officer who was arrested after an armed robbery which occurred in the Kew area have been withdrawn. The charges were withdrawn on 29 July 2013, as a result of there being no evidence connecting the Reaction Officer to the robbery.”
