Liquor thieves caught red-handed

According to police reports, someone tipped the police off about a burglary that was in progress at a shop at the intersection of Raleigh and Bedford Streets. Police spokesperson Constable Thabo Malatji said, “The police received information about people busy stealing in a liquor shop. On arrival, the police managed to catch two suspects in the act.”

Malajti said the suspects were caught with their loot and were taken to police custody. The loot was taken to police food detention. The suspects were expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court on charges of business burglary.
