NORWOOD - Police are investigating a case of theft after perpetrators broke into Highlands North Boys High School premises and stole numerous valuable items.

Norwood police are investigating a case of theft after perpetrators broke into the Highlands North Boys’ High School’s premises and stole numerous valuable items.

According to police, the perpetrators gained access to the school grounds in the early hours of the morning after overriding the access gate control. It is understood they stole computers, printers, photocopy machines and other electrical appliances.

Police said the perpetrators disarmed the CCTV and alarm system to gain access to the school, and the value of the items stolen was undisclosed.

“A case was opened and an investigation is underway,” said police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane. She appealed to members of the public who may have information that could lead to arrests to come forward.
