Robbery suspects arrested

JOBURG - Yeoville police arrested four suspects in connection with a business robbery and conspiracy to commit crime.

According to officials, the suspects robbed a Shoprite liquor store. Yeoville police spokesperson Constable Thabo Malatji said, “The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from one of the tellers. They drove off in a maroon Nissan Sabre.”

Malatji added that police launched an investigation and two suspects were arrested in Hillbrow, one in Soweto and a 37-year-old woman who was a Shoprite employee was arrested inYeoville. He said the woman was facing a charge of conspiracy to commit a crime as it was alleged that she was the one who organised the robbery.

All suspects are due to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
