Police search for murder suspect
HIGHLANDS NORTH – Norwood police are investigating a murder case where a man was stabbed to death and another rushed to hospital.
Police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane said police received a call about a male suspect who stabbed two men who were walking from a local bar in Highlands North. “An unknown suspect approached and stabbed the two men and fled from the scene,” he said.
Tsoanyane said paramedics declared one of the men dead on the scene and gave first aid assistance to the other man, before rushing him to hospital by ambulance. It is not clear why the suspect attacked the two men, however police have launched an investigation.
Police appealed to anyone who may have information that could lead to an arrest to come forward.
