Two men were robbed at gunpoint at Emmerentia Dam near the Louw Geldenhuys Drive entrance.
According to Parkview police spokesperson, Princess Mudau the men were fishing when they were allegedly approached by three men.
“At first the victims were not too suspicious of the men as they greeted and spoke to them,” said Mudau.
“Moments later two of the suspects allegedly pulled out guns, pointed them at the victims and robbed them of their cellphones and wallets. The victims were threatened to be shot and killed if they were to look at them [the robbers] as they left,” she said.
The suspects were said to have driven off in a white hatchback but the model could not be identified by the victims.
No arrests had been made.
