Two drug suspects arrested

YEOVILLE – In two separate incidents police nabbed two suspects for being in possession of drugs in Yeoville.

In the first incident, police were on a routine stop and search when they searched a man at the corner of Hunter Street and Kenmere Road. Yeoville police spokesperson Constable Thabo Malatji said, “The police found the drugs hidden in the suspect’s pocket.” Malatji said the suspect was arrested.

In another stop and search operation at the corner of Dunbar Street and Fortesque Road in Yeoville, police arrested a suspect for being in possession of drugs. Malatji said the drugs were found hidden in the trousers of the suspect. Both suspects were expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court.
