Easter festivals coming soon

HOUGHTON - Houghton will welcome the finest rugby and hockey schools in South Africa and from abroad during the Easter weekend.

Just a few hundred metres from each other on St Patrick’s Road, King Edward VII School and St John’s College will rock as both schools host their annual and much- anticipated Easter festivals from 17 April to 21 April.

There is no doubt that the rugby matches at both festivals will capture the attention of the crowds as traditional powerhouses of South African schools rugby collide.

The hockey tournament at KES will also pit schools against each other that have emerged in recent years as the strongest in the game, judging by rankings in recent seasons. A few of these hockey matches will be hosted at the St John’s astroturf.

Rosebank Killarney and North Eastern Tribune will publish results and galleries of the action.
