Cops bust 14 speedsters on Corlett Drive
The Johannesburg Metro Police Department has apprehended 14 motorists for reckless driving.
According to the entity’s spokesperson Wayne Minaar, the notices were issued after the motorists were caught driving at high speed.
“The motorists were caught speeding above 140km/h in a 100km/h zone on the M1 north at Corlett Drive in Waverly from 28 to 29 June,” he said.
Minaar added that the motorists were issued with notices according to the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences and will be served with subpoenas to appear in court.
The matter will be settled in court with either a fine or sentence being imposed by the court.
