Norwood clean-up off to a great start

With Mandela Day just around the corner, the Norwood Orchards Residents Association has seen a great start to their week-long campaign to commemorate the day.

According to Brett McDougall, chairperson of the association, the campaign began with some residents sending pictures after a clean-up at the Sandspruit in Orchards Park.

McDougall hailed the great start and encouraged residents to continue sending pictures of various clean-ups in their area.

The clean-up is an initiative by the association in honour of the late icon’s legacy, and will be celebrated on 18 July which was the date of his birthday.

During the week of 14-20 July, residents are encouraged to do their bit for the commemorative day and send the pictures of the clean-up in their area to the association.

The association will then host a clean-up of Norwood Park on 20 July from 10am-12pm and will be joined by Michelle Rozowsky’s Adventure Boot Camp and Pam Golding Properties among others.
