Run, get involved with your community

JOBURG - Starting on 12 January, Community Active Protection (Cap) is rejuvenating its running club.

The club’s aim is to motivate members of the public to run on the streets of Joburg in the evening to promote safety and a closer community. Last year, up to 150 runners participated per night. Trainers and assistance is provided for those that are not active exercisers. For those that live near Glenhazel, the club will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at the corner of Long Avenue and Ridge Road at 7.30pm, and at 8pm on Saturdays.

For residents that reside near Waverley and Savoy, the club will meet every Monday and Wednesday at 7.30pm at the open parking lot at the corner of Kenneth and Scott streets, Waverley.
