CRAIGHALL - Bright-eyed Grade 1 pupils eagerly awaited to start their first day of school at Craighall Primary School on 14 January, and unlike their nervous parents, the new pupils were all extremely excited.

“She’s so excited. She woke me up at 1am this morning,” said Nkateko Sibisi, mother of Shiluva Sibisi.
Many parents nervously accompanied their little ones to the school, dropping them in their classrooms to assist settling them in.
“It’s a little bit scary too mom,” said Jayeon Connoway who was with his mom. “He is so excited about Grade 1, but it is also a bit overwhelming,” said his mom, Jaline Connoway.
While other pupils were excited to learn to read and write, others were looking forward to being great inventors. ” I want to manufacture my own dog food said Jedd van de Luytgaarden, a Grade 1 pupil. “I want to learn how to read and write,”said Laila Ilze Essop, also a Grade 1 pupil at the school.
Excited Shiluva Sibisi woke up at 1am this morning with her mom Nkateko Sibisi.
