Caroline Khumalo matriculated from St Mary’s last year after enrolling at the all-girls’ private school in 2010. She immersed herself in a wide variety of activities throughout her school career at St Mary’s, matriculating with an impressive 71 percent aggregate and two distinctions, and being awarded a Service Honours blazer.
The Allan Gray Fellowship covers full tuition, books, residence and a living allowance for Khumalo to complete an undergraduate degree at a South African university. She is planning to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at Wits University, focusing predominantly on business subjects, and plans to follow this up with a post-graduate business degree.
St Mary’s School has a proud track record with Allan Gray, as this is the fourth year in a row that a pupil from the school has been awarded a fellowship.
