The King Edward VII School (Kes) was recognised for their 2014 matric results. Most notably, the school achieved the highest average in the Johannesburg East district for mathematics, mathematical literacy and engineering graphics & design (EGD).
Teachers Janeen Edwards and Pieter van Rooyen received the Top EGD Educator award, while Yasmin Waddee received the Top Mathematics Educator award and Naeema Asvat the Top Mathematical Literacy Educator award.
Kes was also recognised as the top achieving school in the circuit.
