JoburgToday.tv launches at Randlords

BRAAMFONTEIN – JoburgToday.tv officially launched its online TV channel by hosting a relaxing evening of wining and dining at Randlords. JoburgToday.tv is the newest online TV channel, described by founder of the video production house, Adolf Spangenberg as a “hyperlocal TV channel with a global attitude”. The channel offers content that allows the viewer to experience Joburg from any part of the world.

Spangenberg said he only worked with people who have a passion for the city, and were committed to showcasing its beauty to the rest of the world.

His team, who produce the shows on the channel, take on various tasks such as following people through the city and recording their unique experiences to bring it to viewers’ laptops anywhere in the world.

The channel has been live for nine months, in what was described by Spangenberg as a ‘test phase’, and it has managed to attract more than 800 thousand ‘unique’ or first-time viewers thus far.

The channel offers content themes ranging from food to travel in the city, and any other content that you could find on DSTV, but with a strictly local angle.

Passionate about what they do, Spangenberg and his team don’t plan to stop their uniquely Joburg experiences here, and plan to expand and continue to showcase the vibrant city to all.
