R78 000 was raised and Sacred Heart College donated R1 000 to the 702 Cape Fire Relief Fund.
The lighthearted annual event was well attended. Robyn Picas, principal of the school said, “This event was introduced to the school’s calendar in 2008 because we wanted to introduce swimming to our Pre-Primary School Physical Education curriculum. In 2009, a baby pool was built and over the years, money that has been raised from the annual swim-a-thons, was used to revamp the entire pool area. “This year was once again a wonderful occasion with the teach/parent relay being the most exciting event of the morning.”
