Update – VIDEO: Police officers injured during shoot out, 2 killed
Modderfontein - Three police officers have been allegedly injured during a shoot out on the N3.
UPDATE: 30 March 2015, 1pm – It has been reported that 2 officers were killed during the dramatic shoot out over the weekend. The one officer that was shot in the head died at the scene while the other died while at hospital.
The third officer remains in a critical condition at hospital.
According to Gauteng police, no arrests have been made yet. A press conference will be held at 3:30pm about the shooting.

Three police officers were believed to be shot and wounded near the Modderfontein exit on the N3 South earlier today.
The three officers have been airlifted to hospital and it is believed that one of the police officer’s was shot in the head.
Wayne Minnaar of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police said, “The N3 has been completely blocked we advise motorists to find alternative routes Edenvale.”
