Collecting goodie bags for a cause

GREENSIDE- The Pirates Sports Club is collecting 'feel good' bags for Mandela Day for the girls of Guild Cottage.

Guild Cottage was established in 1907 as a home for orphans and children in distress, and has a good track record of looking after children in need mainly by supplying long-term residential care.

The club is now asking the community to donate goodie bags which contain body lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, socks, underwear (any size), coloured pencils, note pads, a colouring book and stickers.

A note of encouragement to a young girl would be nice to include in the goodie bag. Please package your feel good bag in a material bag available at Pick n Pay, Woolworths or Checkers.

Your goodie bag must be under a price estimate of R150 and can be dropped off at Pirates Sports Club anytime on 17 July.

The club will be giving the bags to the home on 18 July.
