KES pupil impresses at ATKV Spellathon

HOUGHTON - Spelling whizz, Bradley Bosch, a Grade 10 pupil from King Edward VII School (KES) excelled at the Gauteng finals of the ATKV Spellathon, which was hosted at KES in Houghton on 27 July.

The spellathon tests pupils on their spelling and language skills and enhances a competitive spirit in the Afrikaans language. Out of 19 participants selected from various schools around Gauteng, Bosch was placed 3rd. He will now compete in the National ATKV Spellathon to be held at a still to be announced.

Prior to this outstanding achievement, Bosch was placed 1st in the District Knock-Out Competition of the ATKV Spellathon held on 12 May at Athlone Girls’ High School in Observatory.

The KES Afrikaans department applauded Bosch for his efforts and achievements.
