UPDATE: Shootout in JHB CBD, hijackers dressed as cops
JOBURG - Two people have been shot at close range with an AK47 in Joburg.
UPDATE: 2 September 2015, 6:30pm – According to a report by news24 the two men that were shot by men dressed as police officers remain in a critical condition following the shooting that took place earlier today on End Street in joburg.
The report stated that eyewitnesses saw six men wearing police uniforms and bulletproof vests, boxed in the red BMW shortly after 12:00.

An eyewitness stated in the report, “They were actually shooting at the guys, through the windows into the car. They shot at the driver first, and then they shot the passenger and then they grabbed him and pulled him out of the car.
“I thought, what the hell? I wanted to run outside, but my wife shouted at me to stop.”
INITIAL REPORT: 2 September 2015, 4pm – Another shootout has rocked the City of Joburg a few moments ago in End Street, Johannesburg.
It is believed that the hijackers involved in the shootout were dressed as police officers. According to a tweet from Yusuf Abramjee, head of Crime Line, two people have been shot at close range with an AK47.
A helicopter landed on End Street to provide treatment to the victims, according to Abramjee.

The hijackers are believed to have made of with a briefcase from the victims.
