CRAIGHALL PARK – Deansgate Retirement Village will once again be hosting their annual Spring Morning Market and families from all around Joburg north are invited to come and enjoy the first weekend of spring at the village.
The event will start at 9am on 5 September and avid arts and crafts lovers can have field day with the variety of goods on offer.
“Every spring, Deansgate convenes a morning market to raise funds to enable better care for the elderly in our community,” said representative for the village, David Esterhuizen, who added that support from the local community would be very much appreciated.
“Those wanting to come to the market can hunt for bargains in a treasure-trove of wares for sale, plants to fill the garden for summer, crafts, books and cakes,” added Esterhuizen.
“And we will also be having a Stake your claim competition where cash prizes can be won.”
Food and drinks on will be on offer in a garden setting to make for a sociable morning, but if you’ve been listening to what the weatherman said was in store for the weekend, then you needn’t worry, according to Esterhuizen.
“It won’t matter if the rain comes, we have more than enough space to accommodate the market indoors.”
