St Teresa’s School recently achieved excellent results at the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists.
The expo is a science fair where pupils have a chance to show others their own scientific investigations and engineering projects. Students can discuss their work with judges, teachers and students from other schools and with parents while at the expo.
St Teresa pupils were able to increase their awareness of the wonders of science and engineering, add to their knowledge and explore entrepreneurial possibilities while broadening their scientific knowledge.
Pupils could enter their own individual projects, or two students could work together on a group project.
Leia French was awarded a gold medal; Rebecca Chetwin and Ashleen Smith received bronze medals and Demetria Petropoulos, Jessica Terrell and Ruvarashe Nyamupangedengu were awarded highly commended certificates for their works of science at the expo.
