KES boys get into the spirit of Christmas

HOUGHTON - King Edward Preparatory School pupils got into the spirit of Christmas with a few well-chosen boys singing famous Christmas carols.

Every year, the school celebrates the festive season as it ushers in the feeling of not just receiving, but giving.

On 20 November, each boy was asked to bring a shoebox filled with presents for children as well as a non-perishable food item.

The boys filled the boxes with toys for children similar to their age and clearly marked if the box was best suited for a girl or a boy.

The event was one filled with the spirit of the boys getting together and making a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. The school has a list of organisations that they donate to each year, one of these being the beneficiary of the shoe boxes.
