Pop star Prince dies
JOHANNESBURG – Prince, singer of the hit Purple Rain was found dead at his estate in Minnesota.
Reports that authorities were called to a medical emergency at the estate surfaced at 10am on Thursday morning.
According to Channel24.com, Prince’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, later confirmed that the star had been declared dead.
The sad news comes only six days after the singer was taken to hospital with a severe case of the flu.
Die-hard fans of the eccentric star joined celebrities in sharing their grief on Twitter.
