Yeshiva College hosts Holocaust Remembrance Day

GLENHAZEL –Pupils remember Holocaust victims with memorial candles.

Pupils of Yeshiva College recently took part in a campaign to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The We Remember You campaign saw pupils of the school light memorial candles which had individual names of the victims written on them, as well as a barcode linking to a website which provided more information on each victim.

The campaign is run by an international organisation based in Israel, which provided the candles in commemoration of the tragedy. Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom HaShoah, is commemorated annually in Israel in honour of the Jewish people who were killed during the Holocaust.

The day was commemorated from the evening of 4 May until the evening of 5 May.
