Montessori kiddies usher spring in with a bang

ROUXVILLE – Montessori kiddies usher in spring in style.

Spring was in the air at the Montessori Little Children school last week as the preschool hosted a fun-filled Olympic-themed open day to usher in the new season.

The fun-filled event took place at the Rouxville-based school and saw kiddies take part in athletic and gymnastic events as well as plant seedlings for the new season.

Marizanne Ballardin, director at the school, explained that the event was hosted as a way to help broaden the children’s outlook and encourage them to realise their full potential.

“The well-prepared, stimulating Montessori environment promotes a positive self-image, perseverance and self-motivation that nurture life-long creative and critical thinking,” she said.

At the end of the day, each child walked away a winner when they each took home the gold medal biscuits they had baked.
