
Norwood police have arrested 34 suspects for allegedly committing various criminal offences in their areas of service.
The arrests were made between 27 August and 1 September and the offences range from drunk driving to possession of unlicensed firearms.
The arrests are as follows:
- 1 for common assault in a domestic violence incident
- 1 for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm
- 1 for assault and intimidation
- 2 for possession of suspected stolen property
- 2 for theft
- 3 for fraud
- 3 for shoplifting
- 8 for possession of unlicensed firearms
- 13 for drunk driving
“All the suspects appeared in court and others made bail while others still remain in police custody for further investigation,” said Norwood police spokesperson, Captain Elliot Tshivhase.
He said police will continue to arrest those who are caught on the wrong side of the law.
