Kenneth Mokgatlhe, PAC national spokesperson said, “We view this as a clear indication of obstruction of law. We did not expect this misbehaviour from the people who claim to be holy, they behave more like gangsters.”
The obstruction of law or disregard for the rule of law seems to be “acceptable” and normal as we have witnessed other criminals attacking SA. Police Service officer in the South of Johannesburg, Vereeniging. We are worried about the safety of our officers.
We are calling for a deserving punishment for the gangsters who attacked and embarrassed our officer while executing his mandate. It is clear that that is not a church but a violent group which obviously should be dissolved for good as it will soon attack our innocent communities.
We are worried as the PAC to witness the disregard of the rule of law, we are flabbergasted to see criminals running the street while the communities are passive and silent in fear of pointing out their opinions. We want to see law-agencies punishing those involved in the evil violence and then the “church” should also face the might of the law.
Many South Africans also condemned the incident on Twitter:

Nothing wrong here they were looking for the hooligans who assaulted an officer. These people can justify all they want and say the JPMD Officer was wrong. Reality is that the cars were parked illegally what happened after doesn't all matter. The cops were doing their job…
