Yeoville police raise awareness

YEOVILLE – Yeoville police raise awareness in their area.

Yeoville police’s communication and social crime prevention unit teamed up with their youth crime prevention team to raise awareness about HIV and Aids in the local community on 1 December.

The station spokesperson, Captain Sifiso Mabizela said, “The awareness campaign was about educating the Yeoville community about disease prevention and that it is not a death sentence and [also to teach] the youth to abstain and condomise.

He added, “Treatment is available at your nearest clinic and it is always best to know your status, whether [you are] married or in a stable relationship.”
