KES crowned squash champions

OBSERVATORY – The King Edward VII School squash team won big at the SA Top Schools tournament in Pietermaritzburg.

 

The King Edward VII School squash team was crowned champions at SA Top Schools Squash tournament on 12 August.

The team travelled to Epworth School in Pietermaritzburg and had an impressive run in the tournament with tremendous wins against St Andrew’s College, Grey High School and Paarl Boys’ High School.

They went onto face East London’s Selborne College who they beat 18–9 in the final. The spokesperson for the school Lisa Slooten said, “Congratulations to our King Edward squash team on their fantastic achievement and now crowned the SA Top Schools Squash winners beating Selborne College.

“We are so very proud of you all and master in charge of squash Bradd Lodge.”

Lodge said, “Hats off to these fine young gentlemen for claiming King Edward VII School’s maiden SA Top School’s Squash title. A personal journey that began in 2015 has become a reality.”
