Police give advice to motorists

RIVER PARK – The Sandringham police ran Operation Basadi on 30 August.

 

Sandringham Police Station ran Operation Basadi to raise awareness of domestic violence and crime with the local community on 30 August.

The operation was led by the hardworking female police officers and Metro police who hosted a roadblock it at the corner of Sheridan and London roads in River Park.

Sandringham police spokesperson Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said that the operation saw the officers handing out pamphlets that addressed domestic violence and contained hijacking and housebreaking safety tips.

He added that the officers gave safety tips for commuters at the intersection, which has been identified as a hijacking hotspot by the Sandringham police.
