While patrolling and conducting a stop-and-search, Parkview Police Station Crime Prevention members arrested four men in possession of dagga.
Constables Magezi Maluleke, Thendy Mlondobozi and Xolani Nkomo were on duty on Saturday 8 September. According to spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, three of the men were arrested in Parktown North, corner Jan Smuts and 7th avenues. The fourth suspect was arrested in Parkview, corner Lower Park Drive and Kilkenny Road.
“The suspects were stopped by the police officials and they were searched. Dagga was found in their possession and they were arrested.”
The suspects briefly appeared in Hillbrow Magistrate’s court on Monday, 10 September.
Sibeko said, “Parkview police members will continue to perform their duties to the best of their ability and by ensuring that the community is safe.”
