Constitution Hill wins big at Lilizela Awards

JOBURG – Constitution Hill scoops two prestigious Lilizela Awards.

Joburg’s Constitution Hill walked away with two prestigious awards at the sixth annual Gauteng Lilizela Awards. Taking place on 20 September, the iconic landmark was not only the host of the awards but managed to bag the Visitor Experience Award as well as the coveted MEC’s Award.

Constitution Hill CEO Dawn Robertson said they were excited to have been afforded a prestigious vote of confidence by their clients, patrons, and customers.

“Such confidence in us only spurs us to strive harder to wow you with both superior service and an authentically unique South African Experience.  Constitution Hill is not only a historical museum but a human rights precinct that continues to make history daily,” said Robertson.

Winners in the Lilizela Awards were chosen mainly through a consumer-based feedback system which is ultimately moderated by a panel of judges.  The event expressed Gauteng’s pride in delivering world-class products and services in order to grow South Africa’s global destination competitiveness.

As winners in the respective categories, Constitution Hill is set to represent Gauteng within the next phase of the competition, the National Lilizela Tourism Awards 2018, which will take place on 17 November at the Sandton Convention Centre.
