DSJ celebrates 50 years in their current location

PARKTOWN – DSJ learners enjoy sweet treats in celebration.

The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg marked their 50th anniversary of the school moving from Hillbrow to their current premises in Parktown, on 20 January.

The school was founded in 1890 on land donated by Paul Kruger. As the years passed by, the facilities in Hillbrow became inadequate and land was purchased in 1959 in Parktown to begin building the school which was finally completed in 1969. Learners at the school celebrated the 50th anniversary of the occasion by enjoying sweet treats.
