Matrics from Parktown High School for Girls looked glamorous at their matric dance hosted at the Indaba Hotel on 27 April.
The hall was decorated to the theme of The Oscars with candles in the shape of Oscars and a red carpet that led to the venue.

Matric learner Krupa Daya commented on the event saying that it takes matrics an estimated 121 hours to prepare for their matric dance. This time includes organising hair and makeup appointments and dealing with the ever-so-stressful issue of finding a date.

“Seeing you all on the 27th ready to enjoy the night left me speechless. I have never in my life been so in awe of such a large group of people at the same time. I couldn’t have imagined spending that night with anybody else. It was an evening where the music just wouldn’t let you sit down,” said Daya.
She thanked all the Grade 11s and teachers for arranging the outstanding evening.
