SANDRINGHAM – Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital where he later passed away.

Sandringham police are searching for the family of a man who was found injured along the N3 highway between the Marlborough and London off-ramps on 26 April.

According to the police, the man was found with bruises by passersby who notified the police. Sandringham Police Station spokesperson, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said that when police officers arrived on the scene, the man was still alive. He added that paramedics were then called to the scene and the man was transported to a nearby hospital where he later passed away.

“When he was found, he couldn’t speak and he had no identity documents,” said Mamabolo. “At the moment he is an unknown person and we are searching for his family or anyone who can assist the police to identify this man. Anyone who might be missing a family member from the date issued can come and report it to the police station.”

The deceased was wearing a blue overall work suit with a green T-shirt underneath as well as black boots.

The cause of his injuries is still unclear, but police are investigating a case of murder.

Mamabolo also appealed to witnesses to come forward and assist the police with their investigation and asked that they contact detective Warrant Officer Matsobane Galane on 082 691 1961.
