A suspect was arrested by officers of the newly launched Integrated Intelligent Operation Centre (IOC) Reaction Unit for robbing a woman of her belongings.
The undercover officers received information of the suspect’s whereabouts and managed to arrest him.
“The suspect was apprehended and he admitted that he and his friend took a cell phone and a wedding ring,” said Metro police chief David Tembe.

“When the suspect was searched, the ring was found in the front small pocket of his denim pants. The suspect was arrested and detained at Johannesburg Central Police Station for common robbery.”
The victim was able to identify the suspect.
