SA hip-hop meets the globe at this year’s Castle Lite Unlocks
JOBURG – Castle Lite unlocks Meek Mill, Post Malone and Sway Calloway for two days of extra cold hip-hop celebrations in Joburg.
Earlier this year, Castle Lite announced that international sensation Post Malone will be taking centre stage at this year’s Castle Lite Unlocks event. The brand has pushed the envelope further by bringing two unforgettable days of Castle Lite Unlocks, packed with a celebration of the Hip Hop culture – from music performances to progressive street culture displays.
Rap superstar, Meek Mill has also been revealed as another headliner as he is slated to perform on the first day of the fest, on 17 June while Malone is billed to take the stage on 18 June.
Lovers of the hip-hop culture are in for a thrill as legendary US radio host, Sway Calloway is set to host the Sway Cold Cyphers which will feature local rap talents, Rouge, A-Reece and Nomoozie.
“I can’t wait to unearth South Africa’s freshest talent,” Sway said.
Sway is perfectly in tune with South African hip-hop as he previously featured Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C and AKA on his show and it’s safe to say that the artists represented the country well.
Attendees will also get a deeper understanding of the culture through the Cold Table Convo which features industry giants such as Slikour, Lee Kasumba, Katlego Malatji, DJ Speedsta and more.
